The dual cameras featured on the HFD01 payloads allow for rapid inspections. Unlike typical payloads which have a single camera, the HFD01 payloads feature two. The narrow field of view (zoom) camera allows for the capture of extremely detailed images of your infrastructure. The wide field of view camera allows you to quickly re-point the cameras at the next inspection target.
This allows for the zoom camera to remain at its zoomed in level, while you point at your targets using the wide field of view camera. Inspection images are captured at 20Mp resolution and when paired with the 30x optical zoom, inspections can be done from 30-50 feet from the tower providing an additional layer of safety. Tower inspections using the HFD01 payload (in manual mode) typically achieve a 40% gain in efficiency versus a single zoom camera.
Utilizing the HFD01 payloads in transmission tower inspection brings massive efficiency gains. The HFD01M3 payloads feature an on-board NVIDIA TX2 graphics processor. This processor runs AI algorithms to automate parts of the inspection. When inspecting insulators, the HFD01 payload can be used to capture the images of all insulators on a tower autonomously in seconds.

These views can be switched instantly in the interface. The bottom right corner shows the FPV camera from the M200 series drone. The control software is built within the DJI MSDK application, meaning you have full access to flight controls at all times.
